Nongstoin a beautiful small town of East Khasi Hill District of Meghalaya .Situated approximately 120 K.m from shillong,state capital of Meghalaya .This panoramic small town is famous for Nongknum river islanad.Nongknum river island is Asia's second largest river island after Majuli river island of Assam. Nongknum river island located about 14km from Nongstoin.This river island is famous by the bifurcation of Kynshi river into the Phanliang and Namliang river .
